₱1,000 Loan Online Philippines: Apps and Costs 2026

Two days to payday and ₱1,000 short? Here is where you can borrow exactly ₱1,000 online, what you will repay in pesos, and how to get it today.

Published November 1, 2026

It is the 28th, payday is on the 30th, and your load just ran out. Or the jeep fare for the week, a refill of your maintenance meds, a gas tank for the motor so you can get to work. Two days, ₱1,000 short. That gap is small, but it is real, and an app can close it before lunch.

The good news: ₱1,000 is the minimum loan at several SEC-recorded apps, and the 2026 interest cap makes small loans cheaper than they used to be. The bad news: on a loan this small, fees take a bigger bite, and the wrong app or the wrong term can cost you more than the loan is worth. This page shows where to borrow ₱1,000 online, what you will actually repay, and how to get it today.

How much does a ₱1,000 loan really cost?

On a small loan, look at pesos, not percentages. Here is what the apps themselves publish for ₱1,000, side by side.

₱1,000 loan Philippines: total repayment at Tala, at 0.4% a day and under the SEC ceiling

Where Example You repay
Tala 61 days, sample offer ₱1,240.20
Honey Loan / Cashalo 0.4% a day, 61 days ₱1,244
Binixo / Finami 48% a year, 3 months ₱1,120
Any covered loan SEC ceiling, all charges ₱2,000 max

Tala's numbers come from its Google Play listing (updated 29 October 2026): ₱99.90 processing fee plus ₱140.30 in service fees over 61 days. The 0.4% row is our calculation from the daily rate Honey Loan and Cashalo publish: ₱1,000 × 0.4% × 61 days = ₱244. The Binixo and Finami figure is the example on their own sites; the lender they send you to sets your real rate.

At 0.4% a day, time is what you pay for:

Repay after Fees on ₱1,000 Total
30 days ₱120 ₱1,120
61 days ₱244 ₱1,244
90 days ₱360 ₱1,360
120 days ₱480 ₱1,480

These are our simple daily calculations. Not every app lets you choose 30 days: Honey Loan and Cashalo terms start at 61 days. Tala says you can repay any time during the term and only pay for the days you use, so with Tala an early payoff cuts the service fee.

Key point. On ₱1,000, the difference between a good and a bad choice is a few hundred pesos, about the size of the problem you are solving. Borrow exactly ₱1,000, not the ₱5,000 the app offers, and pay it back on your next payday.

The legal limit on a ₱1,000 loan

Since 1 April 2026, SEC Memorandum Circular No. 14, series of 2025 caps what lenders can charge on loans of ₱10,000 or less with terms of up to four months and no collateral. A ₱1,000 loan is always in that group if the term is four months or shorter.

  1. Interest: at most 6% a month, so ₱60 a month on ₱1,000.
  2. Total cost (interest plus fees): at most 12% a month, so ₱120 a month.
  3. Late penalty: at most 5% a month on the overdue amount, so ₱50 a month if all ₱1,000 is overdue.
  4. Everything together: never more than 100% of the principal. On ₱1,000, total charges stop at ₱1,000, no matter how late you are.

If an app charges more than this on a short ₱1,000 loan, that is a red flag. Our 2026 rate cap explainer covers the details, and this guide shows how to check a lender in two minutes.

How to get ₱1,000 online in 4 steps

  1. Pick the app. Choose one on the SEC list. Every lender on this page is, and the matching services pass you to lenders you should check by name.
  2. Prepare one valid ID. UMID, driver's license, passport, PhilSys national ID or postal ID are commonly accepted. A selfie is often part of the check. See our documents guide.
  3. Choose ₱1,000 and the shortest term you can manage. Read the total repayment in pesos in the disclosure statement before you confirm.
  4. Pick where the money lands. GCash, Maya or a bank account. Honey Loan says a check usually takes 2 to 3 minutes, and Finbro says disbursement is real-time after approval.

Who can borrow ₱1,000?

Requirements differ slightly by lender. Tala accepts Philippine resident citizens aged 18 and up with one valid ID and a mobile number. Honey Loan wants Filipino citizens aged 21 to 70 with a valid government ID and an active mobile number. Finbro asks for Filipino citizens aged 20 to 70 with a regular source of income. Real scenarios: is ₱1,000 worth borrowing?

Rhea, 22, call center trainee. She needs ₱1,000 for fare and food until her first salary in 12 days. A Tala-style loan where she pays only for the days she uses keeps the fee low if she repays on payday. Borrowing makes sense here.

Mark, 30, rider. His motor needs ₱1,000 in parts to keep earning today. One working day lost costs him more than the loan fee. He borrows, repays at the end of the week, and does not roll it over.

Liza, 45, already paying two apps. She wants ₱1,000 to pay an installment due tomorrow at another app. This is the trap: a new loan to pay an old one. She should call the first lender about a minimum payment or extension instead, and read what happens if you miss a payment.

Joy, 19, wants ₱1,000 for a concert ticket. Legal, but not a good reason to pay up to ₱244 in fees. If it can wait until allowance day, waiting is the cheapest loan of all.

Cheaper ways to find ₱1,000

Before you borrow, check the free or cheaper options. Ask your employer for a salary advance. Use a 0% promo if a lender offers one, and read our Finami review for how those work. 2. You see the total repayment in pesos before you sign.
  3. Fees are within the cap: no more than ₱120 a month on ₱1,000.
  4. The full ₱1,000 lands in your account, or the app showed you upfront what it deducts.
  5. You know the due date and it is on or after your next payday.
  6. You know whether paying early lowers the fee.
  7. You never pay anything before you receive the money.
